A seminar on corporate scam was very timely to organize specially in the wake of never-seen-before proportion of corporate scams. The nexus between politicians and big corporate houses is the real cause of concern.

Speaking on the occasion senior journalist Shri Paranjoy Guha Thakurta said, far from posing strong deterrent, government policies are in fact supporting corruption in the country. He attacked the retrospective rules and red taps which not only discourage investment and business prospects but also encourage corruption. The most contemptible act on part of the government is, however, its attack on constitutional institutions, such as CAG, in most outrageous manner.

Prof. J P Sharma explained the complex nature of corporate scams. He described the famous Satyam debacle in details.
